San Pellegrino Pass

On the eponymous pass, a rustic Trentino mountain hut embraced by the peaks of the Marmolada group. In a few minutes from here you can reach Lake San Pellegrino, a jewel that mirrors the peaks of Uomo and Juribrutto.

At 2000 m, a series of bells announces the arrival at this agriturismo that has no space for overnight stays but is very popular as a refreshment point for its truthful, informal and family-run character. Teresa takes care of the kitchen and Michele of her animals, including Fritz and Cristina, her Norikers, an ancient horse breed that does not fear any obstacle, with whom she organises carriage rides while telling fairy tales and legends of her land. The dishes are traditional and plentiful. You will find very tasty mixed chopping boards and homemade first courses such as fettuccine with hare sauce, or the cut served on a still hot grill, but the must is the polenta that is served with stew, cheese, also melted, mushrooms, sausage. Do not miss the Puzzone di Moena DOP, served with walnut honey, and classic desserts such as Linzer or strudel combined with a superb whipped cream from the house.
